Tiger Tree is owned and operated by Jake Tiger, a passionate arborist and rock climber. 

Based in Squamish, Jake Tiger has worked as an arborist for almost 10 years. He received formal biological, mechanical and technical training at Humber College in Ontario for plant health care, machine operation and maintenance, and safe climbing practices. He has been working at heights for the better part of his career. He used to be a rope access technician in the city of Toronto. A strong need to get closer to nature led him to work in trees instead of skyscrapers.

He moved to Squamish in 2022 to follow his love of rock climbing. An enthusiastic climber for more than 20 years, he is known to master both the art of bouldering at heights and the technicalities of rope climbing. Additionnally, he used to be an illustrator in his ealy 20s and received a BFA from OCAD University in Toronto—he certainly has a keen eye for aesthetics. 

Jake is the most happy at heights, whether on a rock or in a tree. He is dedicated to contributing in his own way to a healthier and better environment.
